Always consistently good with great customer service. The cashier is always upbeat and kind. I appreciate that in the morning.
Quick stop in for lunch. What the ambiance lacks the service and food makes up. We ordered a couple of sandwiches. Counter staff was beyond helpful. Let us create our own sandwiches. We stuck with the basics chicken cutlet and grilled chicken. I had the grilled chicken with some mozz tomatoes and balsamic. Chicken tasted fresh, it was served on a roll, panini pressed. Could've been warmer but were served lightening fast and we were in a rush so that was totally ok. Seemed to be a local favorite as most people walking through the doors were known by name. Glad we stopped, hopefully we'll be back.
I get my usual chicken panini. Always good. I asked for a customized one and they gladly obliged.
The food is outstanding, and prices are very reasonable. Mike, Heather, Chris and Nan are wonderful! I feel like I'm visiting family whenever I go in there. Love the place!
This is my favorite place in all of Milford to eat. Seriously. I grew up in Milford not far from Mike's and I watched businesses come and go from that space before Mike's came in and they really THRIVED. The food is delicious and fresh, there are so many options and some of THE nicest people I've ever met!!! Over the years they have always remembered me and my family and always continue to ask about them and it's just so nice. They have amazing Italian sandwiches and the best chicken caesar salad around. Everything on the menu is phenomenal and they always have the best specials. I literally cannot say enough good things about this place I loveeeee them 10/10 recommend you have to go!!!
Not only is the deeeeelicious but the owner hand delivered a missing item from a Postmates order I made for my mother (she even tossed in some cookies). I'm in California and was trying to send my mother a yummy lunch and was so bummed when half the meal didn't show up and my mother is old school so immediately called while I was on the app and it all worked out thanks to Heather. Thank you again
Fantastic little deli and sandwich shop. Stopped in with some co-workers for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff with the owner manning the grill. Sandwiches prepared fresh and with a smile. Their steak and cheese sub is by far the best I've had in years. I think I inhaled that thing whole. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town. Oh and do not sleep on the little chocolate chip cookies at the register.
We were on the Post Road in Milford doing errands and looking for a quick bite but didn't want it to be fast food. We found this deli while looking on yelp. We ordered the number 3 grilled chicken sandwich with fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, and a slice of tomato on a nice roll. We both shared the sandwich. The sandwich was very simple, satisfying, and very tasty at the same time. Will definitely keep this place on my shortlist when we're on the Post Road in Milford.
We saw a bunch of great reviews on yelp and got an outstanding review from a neighboring business so we had to try Mike's. We were out running errands in the neighborhood so today was the chance. Plus I added Mike's to my "lunch to go" collection (please follow) and I am knocking them out as a get out of the house COVID challenge. I didn't realize that they are currently a no entry business offering curb side pick up only. They have the menu posted on the window and they require you call in orders. After a look at the extensive menu I ordered an eggplant sub with a side of onion rings and he ordered a grilled cheese philly. Heather brought out the order in less than 10 minutes complete with plates, napkins and ketchup and a big smile in her eyes (mask on)! We could hear her exuberance in her voice and knew we would be enjoying a great lunch shortly. My eggplant parmigiana was packed full of eggplant , sauce and topped with cheese. his grilled chicken philly was packed as well. Both subs were large enough to share. The onion rings were hot and crispy however they tasted like the oil was used a lot and just about ready to be changed. Overall, a good choice for lunch to go. Looking forward to trying another sandwich or salad for my next visit.
Wow! I've lived in the Milford area for so long I cannot believe that it took so long to try this deli. In addition to the very friendly service the food is out of this world. Today we ordered the steak and cheese sub and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. The steak and cheese was one of the best I've had in Connecticut. There is plenty of meat and the roll is excellent. I was extremely impressed with the packaging of the salad. Both the chicken and dressing were packaged separately so that the lettuce and croutons didn't get soggy. The salad was excellent!!!! Other establishments can learn a lot from this place. Mike's Italian Deli and Grill will be our new go to deli going forward. I highly recommend. It really is the best deli In town.
